“The Word” series is defined by a 5 by 5 grid with 25 points or dots representing each letter of the alphabet, five across and five down with y & z combined in the lower right hand corner. The title of the work is the principle component in creating the composition within a grid.  A word or words are coordinated by a dot, color, shape or direction.

In the “Kisses 1” print, the placement of the purple kisses are according to where the letters in the word kisses fall on the canvas.
